Black Panther Retrospective: Emory Douglas

From 1967 to 1980 Emory Douglas created the visual branding for the civil rights movement. As the arts and culture officer for the Black Panthers, he uniquely stylised illustrations for leaflets, posters, and newspapers depicting black people in a way that hadn't been seen in mainstream media.

On August 18, a retrospective of Douglas's work will open at The Outsiders on Greek Street in London.
