Hot in...So hot in herre!

Oh my hell...so you all know that lame rapper Nelly right? Well, dood was just accused of blowing all his money on gambling and being addicted to steroids and cocaine by his ex-promoter, Slim of LooseCannonEnt. So I know Slim and he's legit, but DAAAAAAYYYUUUUUMMMM this shit is crazy! So according to MediaTakeout, Slim booked him to appear at a basketball game and Nelly wasn't having it...so Nelly gets mad and a little too tweet happy, fires Slim, and Slim responds...
#ridonk

Whoooooaaahhh Nelly!!! Now if all this ish that Slim is saying is true, that's pretty pathetic pimp...I mean really...coke and roids????
#KillYourself
The good news is, now that you're broke and almost homeless...you have PLENTY of time to work on that Country Grammar of yours...Boo for Nelly!

American Idol Sucks

So I'm at work and people are STILL talking about the American Idol finale and all I can say is
#Whatthefuckingfuck?!?
Honestly, I stopped watching the show a long time ago when they booted my girl Kendra Chantelle. If anything, she got cut waaaay too early. She definitely should've been in the top three, if not the winner. Her vocal range is insane!!! Boo for Idol! I'm on to the next one...Someone please serve me a full-size platter of NBC's "The Voice"

Glass Ceiling

Photographer, Jill Greenberg is having her fifth solo show at the ClampArt Gallery in NY starting on June 16th. The Glass Ceiling Exhibition "revisits her interest in feminist art." The project features a series of pictures of  female dancers and athletes in bathing suits and heels under water and was inspired by an actual commissioned job that she did back in 2008 for the US Olympic Synchronized Swim Team. On her website she describes the shoot:
They wear high heels to be ‘sexy’ in this performance, yet this is absurd, it hinders their movement and amplifies their lack of control. They adjust their swimsuits, shoes; gasp for air, and are pushed by the relentless force of the water, a metaphor for their world.

The Tale of a Fairy

Apparently my invitation to the Chanel Cruise Collection show was lost in the mail...anywho...the everso amazing Karl Lagerfeld, showcased his most recent work at the Cap d'Antibes last week. Lagerfeld wrote and directed the film and said "It is a movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling." Check it out and love it like I do. The acting is terrible, but what do you expect from a bunch of supermodels? The story is beautifully tragic, but the clothes are fabulous dawwwwlings!

Gaga creates a "New Jerusalem"

So for those of you who haven't seen it yet...
So I'm kind of over all of these Catholic extremists and their attacks on this video and the lyrics...I've seen words like "blasphemous" and "inflammatory" being thrown around and if you really...REALLY pay attention to the video you can clearly see that the entire thing is a metaphor for a relationship...she's in love with a man (Judas), that treats her like shit...and yes, ladies, we've ALL been there. Some groups are saying she's just doing this for attention...who gives a fuck??? clearly it's working, because she has yours. Others are saying that the religious portrayal is to make up for her mundane performance...kill yourself. I don't know if you noticed, but she killed it in the dance sequence in those 5 inch stilettos! Perfectly Executed.

#BitchUBettaWork!

Gaga isn't dumb, nor is she trying to shy away from the video's potentially offensive concept...her lyrics read:

"In the most Biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offensed,
Or wear ear condom next time"

Homegirl is clearly calling herself a "hooker" for fame who "vomits" (speaks) her mind...she's "beyond repentance" in the "biblical sense"...she can't be helped or saved...but in a "cultural sense," she's living and dealing with the modern times...so modern day is what she speaks on...and finally, if you don't like what she has to say, then don't listen...well, needless to say, I love it. Who is GaGa without the controversy and the ridiculously sexified outfits? Chelsea fucking Clinton. That's who. So leave my girl alone...all you haters need someone to talk about, so let her do her thing. No one wants to talk about Chelsea.
 I'm done.

McQueen - Fallen Fashion Genius

Alexander McQueen set out to "empower" the women that wore his designs. For the first time, The Costume Institute celebrates one designer at their annual exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York: Alexander McQueen. The exhibit showcases his work from the beginning to the end. This retrospective collection of his most famous pieces, allows us to appreciate his genius and delve into the complexity of his physics-defying creations. His collections are defiant, intellectual, and romantic, yet almost all are misunderstood. McQueen never gave a fuck when it came to making a statement, or hurting the feelings of the fashion neophytes of the world. His work, intimate and pure, spoke to his many admirers.
"Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty", will open to the public tomorrow, May 4, 2011.
