Foreign Object
Soooo I am absolutely in love with this movie! This is definitely on the top of my list of favorite foreign films. The original Korean film is centered around a man who is imprisoned for 15 years. Now the kicker is he doesn't know why he was being imprisoned and then one day he is mysteriously released to find his captors, kills a bunch of mofos and has an incestuous relationship all along the way to the crazy ending. This film is suuuuper dark, violent, and most importantly it's going to be extremely challenging to do an American remake. This is a cult classic that has drawn most of it's audience from it's gory action scenes and overall graphic content, and I'm really afraid the watered down Hollywood version is going to lose a lot of the original shock value. If anything, the American version will probably mirror the Japanese manga that is titled with the same name. Hmmmmm....we'll see.
Mandate pictures announced yesterday, that Spike Lee would be assuming the director role for the Hollywood remake of the Korean film, OldBoy. Although Spike Lee is an amazing director and he's known for his versatility, I think he might be a little in over his head on this one. For this particular style of film, I really can't think of any American director that could rise to the challenge and put together a comparable piece of work. Maintaining the same elements is going to be a challenge...Needless to say the final product is going to be interesting to see and I can't wait to hear audience reactions...For those of you who aren't familiar with the original film, please go check out OldBoy. It's definitely a must see!!!!

Birth it like Beckham!
Congrats to my favorite celebrity couple, David & Victoria Beckham on finally popping out a girl! This morning this ridiculously fabulous mama gave birth to a 7 lb, 10 oz future diva...The Beckhams have decided to take some time getting to know the little one before they land on a name...I think the name "Nikki" should be at the top of the list...that's just my opinion...

This collection was inspired by the fragility of leaves and the composition of all things natural. It explores the juxtaposition between natural and man made objects, evidenced in the use of mirroring images and patterns created from mutating pictures of natural beings.

Free At Last!
So, I've finally taken the leap off the deep end...I dropped everything and moved to LA. I feel completely and totally liberated and I'm ready to start this new chapter in my life. I don't think I've ever been so motivated...Motivated for some of the wrong reasons, but motivated nonetheless...
